Transporter won Honorable Mention in the Better Business Bureau’s
2006 Integrity Awards. On September 12, 2007, it was officially
announced that we again won Honorable Mention in the Better Business
Bureau’s 2007 Integrity Awards. There are only five Integrity Awards
given out annually in Omaha, Nebraska. There are over 6,000 members of
the BBB serving Nebraska, South Dakota, and Southwest Iowa.
The Better Business Bureau’s Integrity Awards are very prestigious and
extremely competitive. All companies considered for an award submitted a
formal application to the Bureau. “The BBB Integrity Awards are granted
at the discretion of an independent panel of judges from the academic
community. They are the only ones who decide which companies receive
awards. The award finalists demonstrated that they had institutionalized
ethics through programs and policies to benefit their stakeholders,”
stated BBB Communications Director, Margo Riekes.
Presented annually since
1995, these awards were designed to promote the importance of ethical
business practices and the willingness and efforts made by outstanding
businesses to ensure that the marketplace remains fair and honorable for
everyone. These awards were open to any company that has been in
business three years or more and is located in the Bureau’s service area
– Nebraska, South Dakota and Southwest Iowa.
“The award recipients
have set examples for businesses of all sizes to follow. They are
remarkable for their extraordinary energy, imagination and talent
devoted to exceeding the expectations of their customers, employees,
vendors, donors and community. These companies are proof positive
that businesses that do good will be successful and make a positive
impact on today’s competitive marketplace," said Jim Hegarty, BBB
President and CEO.
